The Electric Vehicle Association of Ohio invites you to take an EV test drive at the Greater Cincinnati Earth Day Festival 2026, now at Washington Park in downtown Cincinnati. Free and open to the public, the event will have music, food trucks, and education on building a cleaner, more sustainable future. Learn about green jobs, renewable energy, recycling/reuse/composting, and local food systems.
Check out the EVs in our Showcase, talk to EV owners and ask them questions about driving electric. Sign up at the event for EV test drives and rides. Take an EV test drive, get $10 (valid driver's license, insurance, and liability waiver required). Experience the smooth, quiet acceleration and see for yourself what people are talking about! We will have a great selection of EVs, including pickup trucks, SUVs, and sedans.

Sign up to bring your EV to the event and we'll reserve a parking spot for you! After you enter your EV model and year, check "I'm interested to show this vehicle to others at the event" to join our EV showcase. If you are willing to give others rides or test drives, also check "I'm open to offering rides." EV owners should also take advantage of the opportunity to test drive other EVs. With the $10 reward, you can nearly get a free lunch at the food trucks. 🙂
Great opportunity to test drive multiple different models of electric vehicle while enjoying Greater Cincinnati's Earth Day celebration. (The maximum reward is $10 regardless of the number of test drives taken.) We expect to have more than a dozen EVs available for test drive or ride. Check out the EVs, talk to EV owners and ask them questions about driving electric.

Drive Electric Earth Month is a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles throughout the month of April. In addition to being better for the environment, electric vehicles are more fun to drive, more convenient to fuel and less expensive to operate than gasoline vehicles.
An electric vehicle is any vehicle that can drive on electricity derived from a power plug. An all-electric vehicle (sometimes called a battery electric vehicle or BEV) drives solely on power from the plug.
A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is a car that can take both electricity (from plugging in) and gasoline. Usually, they run on electricity first and then draw on gasoline later. That way, you are driving electric around town and only use gasoline for long trips.
Plug-in vehicles offer a quiet, smooth and powerful ride. An electric motor provides full torque from a standstill and completely changes the experience of getting onto a fast-moving highway. Watch the following video for a taste of driving electric.
